This project consist of the exploration, design and implementation of new watch screen savers for the pixel tablet which were released by the end of last year.

The challenge
The Pixel Tablet redefines the tablet experience, seamlessly integrating into your home environment. Unlike typical tablets, its design and display are crafted to enhance your living space, bringing harmony to any room. Our project addresses a key limitation: current screensavers lack personal expression. We aim to empower users to select visuals that truly reflect their unique style, effortlessly blending essential information like time with their individual aesthetic.
The styles
We delved into 15 watch style concepts before selecting two distinct designs for implementation, each catering to different user preferences:
The Digital style champions minimalist typography and offers personalized complications. Users can select and arrange these complementary information modules to create a display that truly reflects their individual needs and aesthetic.
In contrast, the Analog style brings the timeless elegance of traditional watches to the digital tablet. It focuses on classic design principles, providing only the conventional time-telling elements without additional dynamic information.
Screen savers were designed for both landscape and portrait mode for Tablet and Mobile viewports, with multiple color application options so users are able to choose what suits better their home.
Dev hand off
To support eng implementation design specs were delivered indicating color and typography tokens, as well as spacing, measures and proportions. Additionally motion guidelines were created showing transitions, timings and animations.
